OUR TERMS & POLICIES


At GAO-MI, we approach every appointment with care and intention. These policies are here to protect your time, support our team, and ensure every visit is as smooth and respectful as the service itself.

Booking, Cancellation & Reschedule Policy


At GAO-MI, we cherish each appointment as a dedicated moment crafted just for you. To honour the time we reserve for your service, we require a deposit based on the length of your appointment: $50 per hour booked (rounded to the nearest hour)


This deposit secures your booking and will be applied to your final service fee.

Shortly after booking, you’ll receive a secure deposit payment link. We kindly ask that payment be completed within 24 hours to confirm your reservation. Unconfirmed bookings may be released after this time. If you have issues with the link or prefer to pay over the phone or by bank transfer, please don’t hesitate to contact us.


A confirmation SMS will be sent 48 hours before your appointment. Please reply YES to confirm, or contact us if you need to reschedule. If we don’t hear from you within 24 hours, your booking may be offered to another guest.


To respect everyone’s time, the following applies:

  • Your deposit is fully transferable if you reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice
     
  • Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will result in your deposit being forfeited
     
  • For gift voucher bookings, 50% of the voucher value will be forfeited for late cancellations, and 100% forfeited for no-shows
     

We understand that life happens. If you’re experiencing a personal or medical emergency or expect to arrive more than 15 minutes late, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. In genuine cases, we may apply your deposit or voucher to a future visit.


A 15-minute grace period is offered for late arrivals. Arriving later may result in an adjusted or rescheduled service, with applicable fees still applying.


We appreciate your commitment—it allows us to plan mindfully and honour the time we’ve set aside just for you, with the focus your appointment deserves.

Consultation, Quoting & Service Satisfaction


We’re here to help you feel confident and cared for—before, during, and after your visit. That’s why we offer complimentary consultations and tailored quotes for all colour, chemical, and transformative services.


Website prices are a helpful guide, but final pricing may vary depending on hair length, density, or the complexity of the service. During your consultation, we take the time to assess your hair and scalp, understand your goals, and recommend what’s genuinely best for you.


While we always aim for excellent results, outcomes can vary due to many factors—including previous hair history, scalp condition, and how the hair responds on the day. If something doesn’t go to plan, please let us know within two days of your appointment. We’ll do everything we can to make it right—usually by inviting you back for a follow-up assessment and offering a complimentary adjustment where appropriate.


We follow the Australian Consumer Law and are committed to delivering services to a high professional standard. While refunds for services are not offered, our top priority is to make things right and ensure you leave GAO-MI feeling renewed, revived, and redefined.

Hair Styling Policy


We want every guest to leave GAO-MI feeling their best. It is our policy to complete all services with a professional blow-dry or style, ensuring your look is finished and beautiful.


If you prefer to skip the blow-dry, we completely understand—your choice will not affect the service price. Our goal is always your comfort and confidence.

GAO-MI Gift Voucher Policy

At GAO-MI, we honour generosity and kindness. Our gift vouchers are designed to offer meaningful, relaxing, and memorable experiences. To ensure fairness and transparency for everyone, please take a moment to read our gift voucher policy below.


Validity & Expiry

  • GAO-MI gift vouchers do not expire.
     
  • Service-specific vouchers (e.g., Enlighten Head Spa, haircut packages) include a 12-month price guarantee from the purchase date.
     
  • If a service voucher is redeemed after 12 months, it is still welcome; however, if the service price has increased, the price difference will be payable at the appointment.
     
  • Dollar-value vouchers (e.g., $200 voucher) remain valid indefinitely as store credit toward any service or product.
     

Applicability Date

  • This policy applies to all gift vouchers purchased on or after 1 January 2026.
     
  • All vouchers purchased before 1 January 2026 will continue to be honoured under previous conditions.
     

Refunds & Cash Redemption

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable.
     
  • Gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, either in full or in part.
     
  • No refunds or value differences apply if a guest chooses to downgrade a service previously selected on a voucher.
     

Transferability

  • Vouchers are fully transferable to another person if the original holder is unable to use it.
     
  • The voucher holder is responsible for notifying GAO-MI if transferring to another person.
     

Lost or Missing Vouchers

  • GAO-MI is not responsible for damaged, lost, stolen, or misplaced vouchers.
     
  • However, we understand life happens — and we will always do our best to help.
    If you lose your voucher, please contact us with as many details as possible. Where we can verify records, we will assist in recovering your voucher.
     

Booking & Deposits

  • To redeem a voucher, clients must provide their voucher number when booking.
    This allows us to secure the appointment without requiring a deposit and ensures we book the correct service time.
     
  • Failure to present a valid voucher may require a standard booking deposit.
     

Service Changes

  • Guests are welcome to upgrade their experience by paying the difference in price.
     
  • If a guest chooses a lower-priced service, no refund or credit will be provided for the remaining value.
     

No-Show or Late Cancellation

  • If a voucher booking is missed or cancelled late according to our standard cancellation policy, the voucher may be partially or fully redeemed to cover the missed appointment fee.
     

Agreement

By purchasing or redeeming a GAO-MI gift voucher, you accept the terms of this Gift Voucher Policy.

Reservation of Rights

We reserve the right to update or amend these terms and policies at any time.
